As most of you know, Move Clinics offers both group and one-to-one
Pilates classes, for beginners and more experienced students.

For those of you that don't know, Pilates is a form of exercise designed to
improve the control of the 'core' postural muscles which keep the body
balanced and are essential for providing support for the spine. Pilates
exercises teach an awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and is
an invaluable complimentary form of training for runners, dancers or anyone
with a history of back pain or injury.

At Move, we offer both matwork and reformer classes. Matwork classes
are great for beginners as it enables you to get to grips with the specific
breathing and muscle activation. For those of you wanting a more of
challenging workout, the reformer class is more dynamic and involves the
use of springs and pulleys to push you to your limits...

To give you a taster, Move Clinics will be holding open days and taster
sessions for reformer Pilates at various times over the summer. You'll be
able to come along and try out a class.
